6. Crowd Behavior

Models of crowds simulate groups of agents moving around in a spatially explicit environment. Such models might aim to study the emergence of bird flocks, fish schools or path formation. Other models simulate human agents in train stations, theatres or stadions and evaluate escape behavior or control of riots.

We discuss now a few examples of crowd behavior from biology and social science.
